RCR takeover leads to record high

Engineering power house RCR Tomlinson Ltd is at it again, this time with a focus on infrastructure.

The 31st of July 2013 saw RCR Tomlinsons’ 148.3 million dollar purchase of the Norfolk Group, a takeover that was in planning since the 22nd of March. When talks first started the share price of Norfolk was at around $0.45, although for the purpose of the take over the group had settled on $0.38 per-share, which would have totalled a takeover price of approximately $62 million. Once the takeover plans became public, there was a jump in share price, this lead to a revision of the deal in which the two companies settled on a takeover price of $0.48 per-share.
