Project UPDATE : St Andrew’s Ipswich Private

A leading engineering contractor has won the primary tender for a $64 million health project in Queensland’s metropolitan area. John Holland Group (JHG) recently secured the head contract for the St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital Redevelopment.

JHG is tasked with refurbishing key areas in the existing hospital, including 90 new beds and the first private hospital Emergency Department within the Ipswich area.

We have learned the deal between JHG and proponent Ramsay Health Care is worth $45m. A key contact confirmed what sub-contracting packages are available.

Project UPDATE : M-City Monash

The project director of a $1 billion residential, retail and office development in Melbourne’s east has talked Projectory through the upcoming tender process.  Private developers Schiavello and The Saraceno Group are teaming up for the new project, which will be located near Monash University. 

The development, M-City Monash, will be situated on a 3.52ha parcel of land on the corner of Blackburn Road and Princes Highway. The new project will include the construction of three residential towers and a nine-level office tower. The scope of work also includes the construction of a 250-bed international hotel. Retail and convenience stores are also planned as well as a cinema complex.

“The early works package is currently in the final stages of tender,” Vito Chiodo, National Property Executive at Schiavello communicated. “That package will be let by the end of June. We are planning on putting the construction works to tender by July, with the aim to mobilize or start construction by the end of the year.” The project is expected to be complete in 3.5 years.

“We anticipate that 1,500 direct and indirect jobs will be created, and we have a strong preference for procuring within Australia.”

Project UPDATE : Shenton College

A builder which has been picked to extend a high school in Perth’s western suburbs is expected to offer subcontracting opportunities, according to the project’s proponents. Cockram Construction beat eight other tenderers for the contract—valued at $37.4m—to significantly expand facilities at Shenton College.

Shenton College Stage 2 will be located on the western side of the campus between the Shenton Bushland Reserve and the heritage-listed former Lemnos Hospital buildings. Shenton College Principal Chris Hill told Projectory he believed Cockram would be subcontracting some of the building works.

“(The project) is a $50m building for a senior secondary educational facility there is a STEM technology aspect to it, there is a performing arts arena, there are multiple general purposes classrooms, science laboratories, and food science facilities,” he said

Project UPDATE : Prelude FLNG

A major contract has been awarded a NT resources project.

Singaporean marine, offshore supply, and logistics company Sinwa Limited has been awarded a medley of new supply agreements for vessels involved in Shell’s Prelude FLNG Project. Sinwa said on Wednesday that the contracts were expected to begin in August 2017.

The scope of services provided under the contract includes the supply of provisions, stores, and logistics support to vessels working on the Prelude project.

Sinwa will be servicing its client’s requirements through its 10,000 square meters Darwin facility, equipped with complete warehousing including freezer, chiller, provision and general storages, as well as lay down and hard stand areas.
